Demon Marco[]
Demon Marco is the Demonic version of the character Marco Diaz, from the show Star Vs The Forces of Evil.
He is the result of Marco Diaz being either Possessed or Controlled by the Half-Demon, and the main protagonist's Ex, Tom Lucitor. The true reason why Tom did this is currently unknown.
Possible Backstories[]
No matter the backstory, the origin is always Tom possessing Marco. Possible reasons for his possession include:
- During the Blood Moon Ball, Marco danced with Star Butterfly under the Blood Moon's light, causing their souls to be bonded together for eternity. Tom noticed this and was furious with Marco. Out of his frustration, he possessed Marco.
- Tom took control of him before Star even came because he saw his magical potential, thought Marco wasn’t using his gifts to their full extent, and possessed him. 2 branches for this origin is that Tom either made a deal with Marco, or possessed him by force.
Overall there isn't a conclusive/canon reasoning to this due to this character mostly stemming from AU's. However, you may have any type of headcanon for him, just as long as it isn't deemed as "The True Demon Marco".
Appearance[]
Demon Marco’s appearance is similar to that of his costume at the “Blood Moon Ball”, the suit is more of a short black Blazer with a golden trim on the bottom with small semicircles on top, the trim is possibly made out of the fabric Satin. The Epaulets are the same gold color and material but the strings themselves are shaped more like thin rounded paper. There are also 2 wrist buttons.
As for the clothing besides the Blazer, the shirt beneath it is a white Button-up shirt with 6 to 9 buttons. (while in the episode itself, if you look closely and count the spaces properly there maybe 9, a standard button-up shirt usually only has 6, though it may be up for interpretation) The tie is colored red and is shaped like a diamond, the pants are the same color as the tux, the belt is a lighter shade of black compared to the Tux and Pants (due to it being made out of leather, causing it to look glossy) and the buckle is a more modern latch buckle. The mask is shaped like a skull that doesn't completely cover-up Demon Marco's face, the skull itself has a few intricate patterns, 13 green semicircle

patterns are surrounding the eyes, 3 red/pink/velvet/yellow dots representing the eyebrows, and two upside-down hearts of the same color; Sometimes he's portrayed with a thinner El Bandito style of mustache, the reasoning for why many fans often don't include it is because it doesn't fit in as well as the other parts of the costume. He also wears what appears to be a black Brogueing style of shoe and a red sombrero with yet another intricate pattern with the same gold color, the bottom part has a repeating chain of a shape with 5 lines protruding outwards leading into a small dot followed by a loop shape. The upper part has the outline of a semi-circle repeated 20-21 times around the entire hat.
For his physical appearance, Demon Marco looks roughly the same as normal Marco, a Latino-American teenager of medium height with a slender build, tan skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes and brows, and a mole on his right cheek. However, he now has the addition of Demonic/Gargoyle Esque Wings, Claws (often portrayed to either be big or more like sharp nails), two sets of horns with black tips (shaped differently from portrayal to portrayal), Fangs and sharp teeth, and glowing green/red eyes peering through his mask.
Occasionally, he's also portrayed to have sharp elf-like ears, purple crescent moon-shaped emblems on his cheeks, and with his right purple monster tentacle arm or just a purple right arm.

- The costume Marco wears is a reference to "The Day of The Dead", which is a Mexican based holiday.
