Due to our massive catalog of characters, it has become difficult for any author to incorporate a character from the lower tiers. Character Roles is a solution to this problem. This system will help creators to sort the BEFs into groups, which will aid in an easier time writing with multiple characters from lower tiers. The average character will have a maximum of two roles, but based on certain criteria, the character may only have one, or can have 3. Character's roles can be found on the Characters page next to their name and fictional universe, and on their character's page in their info-box. The character's pages will have tags that identify these roles. (This will aid in quickly finding characters with a specific role.)

Note: Using this system is not required. It is intended to be used as a tool to aid creators.

There are 2 (known) Possible ways to use this system:

  • One Large Organization (OLO): BEF functions as a large organization, led by the Tier 1 characters. This is often used when a creator wants to include every character from the Characters page. This can be further categorized into two subcategories.
    • Same Branch: Every role is a separate branch for the organization. Characters with the same role would all be in the same branch.
    • Varied Branches: Every branch of the organization has a variety of characters, each with a different role.
    • Hierarchy/No Branches: There are no branches in the organization. Instead, there is a “Role Hierarchy,” with certain roles controlling the roles below them. At the top of the Power Pyramid are the Directors, with Executives below them, and the rest of the roles beneath both levels.
  • Separate Individual Groups (SIG): BEF characters are unaware of each other's existence altogether. Similar to how Bipper, Beast Wirt, and Ice Finn work together, accompanied by Tier 2 characters, there are other groups that work together. However, each group is unaware that other groups exist. This will be used when a creator wants to use characters from lower tiers, without using characters from higher tiers. Used for "mixing and matching."

Roles[]

Characters will have roles that relate to their individual skills. Characters will often have two roles, reflecting the many skills they can have. Roles of a character can only be changed my Content Moderators and Admins, but can be added by anyone if a character template lacks one. Contact these people if you have any questions, or you have evidence for a character having an incorrect role:

Director:[]

This an exclusive role only given to Tier 1 characters. When using the OLO structure, Directors are the ultimate leaders of the organization.

Leader:[]

Given to those in a high position of power. When using the OLO Structure, these characters will work directly under the 3 Directors, but be given authority over all the other members. When using the SIG Structure, these characters are most likely going to be the Leaders of whatever group they end up in.

Muscle:[]

Given to physically or mystically strong people.

Intellectual:[]

Given to those with high intelligence.

Heterodyne:[]

Given to characters who are a balance between Muscle and Intellectual. This can be applied to characters that are both extremely strong and intelligent (Ex: Bipper), or characters that are balanced in both aspects, but not strong or smart enough to fit into either of the two roles.

Independent:[]

Given to rouge-like characters that can act independently of the groups wishes. (That’s not to say the other members can’t, just that these are the ones most likely to, and the ones that most often do so.) Due to their weak attachment to the group's intentions, they can be unpredictable.

Support:[]

Given to emotionally stable characters that hold the team together via encouragement, advice, or just by being there.
