Beast Wirt

Beast Wirt is the AU version of Wirt from Over The Garden Wall possessed by the Beast, the Demon of the Unknown.

Appearance

Beast Wirt looks exactly like Wirt, but he has the Beast's antlers on the sides of his head, which he can regrow at will, and his eyes are multi-colored with red pupils like the Beast's.

Personality

Beast Wirt is known to be the calm, scary, and collected one of the Bad End Friends. He acts as a guardian to both his friends and his lantern, trying to make sure everyone stays calm and they do not kill each other unless they want to become Edelwood trees. He is often amused by their interactions and is glad when they accompany him on his many journeys to feed his lantern, he is his own lantern bearer. He will keep his lantern lit as long as he is in control over his body, and Wirt doesn't fight to regain control over it. He also likes singing opera, even to his friends.

Behind The Scenes

As of now, the original creator of the Beast Wirt AU Concept is unknown, however, it's largely presumed to have been made sometime before 2016, but after 2014, and signs show that it's most likely made on Tumblr. The earliest design that can be linked back to the modren day iteration of Beast Wart is from tumblr user groscar.

Over The Garden Wall is a Cartoon Network Miniseries, with 10 chapters total, and was made by Patrick McHale. The episode Beast Wirt's AU branches off from is "Chapter 10: The Unknown", Directed by Nate Cash and written by Natasha Allegri, Jim Campbell, and Tom Herpich, The Storyboards were also made by Jim Campbell.
